it was good seeing Lee booked as an unstoppable power house with his size and speed hes going to be a champ in aew before long,
more excited myself in seeing switchblade debut, dose this set up the bucks being kicked out of the elite and going back face with a returning Kenny , would love to see White and Kenny continue there fight for control of the Club/Elite
i though the Punk/Mox v FTR tag match was excellent

Cody and Brandi Rhodes have left AEW

Didnt see that coming

RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread - Rammyrascal - 15-02-2022 19:34

^^
Just seen that & I too didn't see it coming. Interesting to see where Cody & Brandy go. Cody would be a great replacement for Josh Alexander at Impact if Josh doesn't sign a new deal with Impact & Brandi would be a very good addition to the Knockouts.

Could show up at Impact on their No Surrender PPV on Saturday

^ sorry to burst your bubble rammy but according to a lot of reports online Cody is already in talks with WWE and as we all know the internet never lies Rolleyes. So be prepared for a Cody/Brandi vs Miz/Maryse match at mania lol.

It's always been about money and ego as far as Cody and Brandi go (which rules out impact lol)so he was always going to be the first to go and Tony was never going to be able to pay him what he thinks he's worth. I imagine he wanted CM Punk money which Tony was never going to do and it remains to be seen if Vince will be willing to pay him that kinda money either. Will AEW really miss him? I don't think so.

Yeah, saw those reports online that Cody & Brandi are WWE bound. Wouldn't be surprised if they show up at Elimination Chamber on Saturday

reading about Cody on line today looks like it was about Money and power,
seams he wanted a cut of AEW profits , its a $400 million company at the moment expected to break the 1 billion $ mark with in 4 years , Cody must think hes due some of that, and also wanted his spot on the board back and to have a say in how the show is booked, i can see if thats true why Tony felt he couldn't do a deal with him,
sure he will debut at wwe intime to be a big part of wrestlemania

^^ A Stanford sports business professor has reportedly put a market value of $400 million on AEW.

It was noted in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that editor Dave Meltzer had talked with a Stanford sports business professor, who has followed the AEW product.

“I had a discussion with a sports business professor at Stanford who has followed the AEW business and put a market value of the product at $400 million right now,” Meltzer wrote.

Meltzer made a related comment on Twitter this week when a fan joked about AEW President Tony Khan hosting a podcast called “4 Weeks,” a reference to WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff’s “83 Weeks” podcast, named after how WCW Nitro beat WWE RAW in the ratings for 83 straight weeks.

Meltzer responded, “I think it’ll be called how I turned a $25 million investment into a company worth $400 million in two plus years.”

a bit more detail

the Warner Media TV deal signed in 2020 was for $175 million over four years,

Khan expects its wrestling division to be profitable this year, though an eight-figure investment in video game development will keep the company in the red for now.

people who know gaming are saying that it the game is a success then Khan with make the reported $20-30 million hes invested back 10 fold,

it costs AEW $500,000 to produce each Dynamite before paying the talent on the card,

its reported that Warner gave them a $10 million a year increase on there contract when they started Rampage so upto $50 million a year

Khan has stated that the wrestling end is profitable this year

very interesting and shows just how quick they are growing
