He should have given Hamilton room that the regulations say he should have which is 1 car width Hmm not sure - Nico was in front and had the racing line, Lewis was pushing it coz he lost the lead where exactly was he going? RE: Formula 1 - Bandwagon - 15-05-2016 17:43 He was attempting a high speed pass because Nico's car was harvesting energy since he was on the wrong settings. As soon as Hamilton saw the red flashing light his mind was set on what should have been an easy overtake. Nico knew this, he knew he was on his back foot, and yet he still decided to block Lewis's path hoping he would brake. Unfortunately the grass doesn't offer much grip though. It's all about split second decisions. Lewis could definitely have waited, but like I said, he saw that flashing light and his mind was set. Both drivers need to chill the fuck out if you ask me. I'm pleased it happened in some ways because it gave the young Verstappen his chance to shine of which he grasped with both hands! Fantastic level-headed drive by him. RE: Formula 1 - circles_o_o_o - 15-05-2016 18:34 Did anyone else pick up David Coulthard's little Babestation joke at the end of the race? "Does he have a Dutch licence?" RE: Formula 1 - Rammyrascal - 15-05-2016 21:19 ^^ ha ha love that circles RE: Formula 1 - biggles - 16-05-2016 15:12 It's good the focus at the end was on Verstappen winning and being the youngest ever Race Winner RE: Formula 1 - Mr77 - 20-05-2016 15:53 Am I the only one who finds Monaco as boring as watching paint dry ? RE: Formula 1 - Bandwagon - 20-05-2016 20:51 It's all about the glitz & glamour (for those that give a shit) The cars outgrew the track many moons ago. RE: Formula 1 - Rake - 20-05-2016 22:09 Yes in the 70s Monaco had it's heyday. RE: Formula 1 - Mr77 - 20-05-2016 22:54 While I'm on the subject of stupid/boring shit in F1 , whose bright idea was it to schedule Canada & Azerbaijan back to back ? They should do Russia/Azerbaijan on back to back weekends & Canada , the US , Mexico & Brazil in a row . RE: Formula 1 - lovebabes56 - 21-05-2016 06:51 Shouldn't Azerbaijan be part of the European circuit season? That is totally ridiculous!! They'll be looking on US maps trying to find out where Azewrbaijan is!! The thin with Monaco is that while it is one great racing tracks in F1 I think there is very little room for improvement (or overtaking) there, and I guess that is why it can be a bit boring to watch. Also I think Lewis has to realise he has to win there to get back into the title race. not only II also see he has picked up one of C. Ronaldo's exes!! I wonder how he feels about that? one of his exes going out with Lewis? |
