But according to dictionary.com it is "a sum of money given or pledged as a contribution, payment, investment", as opposed to a REGULAR or MONTHLY subscription. Doesn't alter the basic point thought. Not sure why everyone is gettin ghung up on what constitutes a subscription! Er, it was you who queried the definition in the first place! I think the generally accepted, contemporary usage of the word is to refer to a series of regular payments, rather than a one off payment. There again, one can make a single payment to cover a one-year subscription. Hmmmm... Anyway, this isn't dictionary corner. On with slagging off BS Xtreme RE: Babestation XTREME discussion - Rogerbee - 15-05-2010 15:30 Dictionary corner, hmmmm, if Lolly went down on Rachel Riley I think we'd ALL pay to see that! RE: Babestation XTREME discussion - zonebox - 15-05-2010 21:22 I've only viewed the channel once but it was not bad at all. I give it 6 out of 10. Some people are giving it a hard time but it's a reasonable good channel to me. Not guilty sir! It was Admiral Decker in the screenshots thread who queried my use of "subscription". Then my post got moved here. Not sure why. RE: Babestation XTREME discussion - ldamour - 17-05-2010 00:38 I accidentally turned my TV off tonight and when I turned it back on the access code had changed and the old one that I was using was not accepted. Basically a con whereby they are attempting to get more £5 access fees than they are legally obliged to do so. The T & C's state a number you can ring to get a refund if you are experiencing "problems", but still yet another blatant con by the powers that be at babestation to get their hands on your cash, as it states no where in the terms that this is what happens when your TV is switched off. Sorry if I sound negative, but this is blatantly a massive rip off. Also I noticed while I had access that the lame content of this channel repeated itself almost within the hour (and it was rubbish both times!). Seriously not worthing paying for. Shop around people. There are much, much better ways to spend £5 out there... RE: Babestation XTREME discussion - Rogerbee - 17-05-2010 00:51 Indeed there are. I haven't bothered with this from launch night and can get much harder GG stuff for free. The sexiest adult channels that Cellcast have are the existing ones, we just don't need this! RE: Babestation XTREME discussion - FlippMoney - 17-05-2010 02:26 how much does it cost for this channel RE: Babestation XTREME discussion - elgar1uk - 17-05-2010 09:02 (17-05-2010 02:26 )FlippMoney Wrote: how much does it cost for this channel £5. This doesn't happen on many boxes and TVs, it is just the small minority unfortunately. This is why we state that if you call our customer services team, they would be happy to give you a new code, as it's something out of our control until the freeview boxes / TVs follow some sort of standard |
