How long can Potter survive following the defeat? never realised the injury list was so long

What a transfer window that was, 8 players in. Impressive business. Mind you, Danny Murphy just said on TalkSport that the players Chelsea have signed are not that good.

They’ve also screwed with the FFP rules by using 8 year contracts so they can amortise fees over that period. Such a concern to the authorities that rules will be introduced to limit amortisation of fees to 5 years.

RE: Chelsea FC - chelsealion - 02-02-2023 15:55

No we haven't screwed anything. Everything Chelsea have done is fully compliant with the existing rules and fully compliant with accepted accounting practices. All we've done is taken a risky approach, as we could be saddled with unwanted players for years if any of the signings turn out to be duds, something that's already happened to Chelsea several times even with shorter contracts. It should be Chelsea's risk to take, but it appears that some sore rivals have been in contact with UEFA to complain that it isn't fair. They aren't inclined to pursue such a risky strategy themselves, so instead they are asking UEFA to stop Chelsea from doing so.

we can agree to differ. Personally I'd stop all these shenanigans by saying all players must be bought for cash and then impose an agreed amortisation maximum period for all clubs. Lets face it none of these players signed on 8 year deals will be there that long.

Graham Potter has been sacked after just under 7 months in charge at Stamford Bridge.

RE: Chelsea FC - Charlemagne - 06-04-2023 14:03

Lampard is back at Chelsea until the end of the session.
One guy who will be delighted to see him back is Mason Mount. He may get a game at last.

RE: Chelsea FC - Snooks - 08-04-2023 08:41

Lampard couldn't really ask for an easier first game.
My lot at Molineux are about as much use as an inflatable dartboard Rolleyes
Chelsea will barely need to get out of first gear.
In fact they probably won't even need to turn the ignition on laugh.
Or even put their seatbelt on laugh.
Probably won't even need to get in the f#cking car Bounce.

Works every time Wink.
