Usual fluff piece from Marie Claire, posted for LeBlanc's defence of Evans (again!) and his story of the recruitment of another guest star: http://www.marieclaire.co.uk/news/celebrity/552869/matt-leblanc-on-top-gear-cate-blanchett-and-putting-joey-to-bed.html

Tweeters from Evans' past come out to play: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/7118949/Colleagues-blast-Chris-Evans-on-Facebook.html
This is all getting a bit silly now. Rolleyes

Looks like he's pissed off a hell of a lot of people in the past, when he was 'untouchable', and they now sense he's a wounded animal.

Clarkson doesn't want new TG to fail as he has just found out he gets payments every time it's recommisioned! He's also glad he got out as it would have gotten "boring": http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/jeremy-clarkson-denies-sabotaging-chris-7891611

Another exec leaves the show: http://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/may/04/top-gear-executive-katie-taylor-leaves-bbc-studios

Chris Evans certainly does seem to have ticked a few people off over the years...

but bully: http://heatst.com/entertainment/chris-evans-ex-partner-demands-bbc-investigate-bullying-claims/

...or witch-hunt: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/chris-evans-victim-witch-hunt-7907601

Think a poll might be useful here....

Sabine Schmitz interview with her account of Evans throwing up: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/event/article-3575014/Top-Gear-Sabine-Schmitz-call-queen-ring-sounds-like-m-100.html

More silly season stuff from Evans' past: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3577932/Chris-Evans-used-like-wearing-girls-underwear-claims-ex-colleague-new-Gear-host-battles-bullying-claims.html

Evans has his say...
on bullying claims: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/top-gears-chris-evans-ive-7922144
on prospects for the show: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/top-gears-chris-evans-insists-7925610 (An 'insider' also puts Evans' perspective on LeBlanc's signing and that the American has already said he wants to do a second series.)

But on the day the new TG was supposed to debut, Heatst tries to up the agenda: http://heatst.com/entertainment/chris-evans-flashed-colleague-relentlessly-for-two-years/

That's nothing compared to what John Barrowman is well known for getting up to annoyed

Then again, the lesser of two evils is still an evil bladewave

RE: Top Gear - ShandyHand - 08-05-2016 22:57

Agreed. But knowing when to stop is key. I don't see people lining up to vilify Barrowman.

The general tone of these reports paints an unhealthy picture even if some involved appear to have barely concealed ulterior motives.
