Well done to guy who took on betting giants BetFred after they refused to pay out his £1,722,923.54 winnings.
He won an on-line casino game but BetFred said there was a problem with the game and wouldn't pay him.
He threatened to take BetFred to court, so they offered him £60,000 and said that they would rather go to court that settle for more. And they said that they would claim court costs off him if they won.
So the guy risked £250,000 in costs and took them to court.
The judge agreed with him and award him the full amount and interest. The case has taken 3 years to settle.
Betfred has apologised to him for the delay in paying out and said it will not appeal against the judgment. I think that we can say that BetFred's reputation is shot.

Have you looked at the profile of the rioters? They wouldn't know how to spell Brexit, let alone tell you what the apparent issue around the 'sea/trade border' is, if either or both came up to them, introduced themselves and spelt out, in words of one syllable, what they were and what they meant in practice.
I am sick and tired of the convenient and deliberate 'lets have a pop at them when we can' mentality - from the English media in particular - who latch on to every disturbing incident (if we did the same in terms of english incidents, we would not have time for our own news) as if it is a return to the dark days of mass violence, while ignoring the stability of the last twenty years or more, and the reporting of the good that goes on day- in -day -out!
They have to report the news - of course they do - but there is a holier - than - thou judgmental narrative each and every time
