And all of Britain is voting, not just the English. For example what if Britain voted to stay in the EU but over half of England had decided to vote to leave.
You can't keep playing the Scotland card.

I read an article the other day pointing out that "the establishment" who have been tarnished by Leave are in the main just people trying to do their job to the best of their ability. It's seems certain that if a single organisation had come out in favour of Leave then they would have claimed that they were right!

I'm not playing the Scotland card at all. I just think that Leave are showing a total disregard for what a Leave vote means for those places that I named.

It really has been a shocking campaign. Shame on them all really.

Becasue no body gives an answer,

Right, tariffs, presumably there is none now, what are they and how much will they be? And why would they be that high that it will prevent trade with UK dependancies when they don't with any other country in the world, large or small?

do you even understand what the European single market is?

RE: Europe..IN or OUT?? - HannahsPet - 18-06-2016 12:48

we cant say because we dont know. we can do deals or we could trade under World Trade Organisation Rules which have tarriffs rates but it depends on the sector what sort of tarriffs

I know the steel industry is worried because the EU about to put high tarriffs on steel from outside the EU so if we leave we would be hit and that would finish whats left of british steel making in the UK

Plenty of answers have been given but you don't believe anything the remain side say and seem to trust implicitly the Brexiteers gamble that it would be ok. I'll leave you to do your own research if you can be bothered. Let me just end though with the FACT that one of the few economists who the Leave camp say is correct (Patrick Minsford, because he supports them) has stated that if we exit it will probably be the end of out manufacturing capability but thats ok because we are mainly a services economy.

Oh and the other European countries who have acceess to the Single Market without being in the EU have to pay membership fees, accept free movement of people and don't have Financial Services included in the deal.

Depends what you're trading. If you're selling a product into Europe and your profit is, say, 20% of turnover, then a 20% tariff on your goods will kill your trade stone dead. Either you absorb the cost and try to operate without making a profit or you increase your prices to cover the cost, making you uncompetitive with other companies who are still in the single market.

Either way, you're fucked.

The issue is about not being in the single european market (presumably we are in that now), the issue what affects being out is; I think this is a point that people seem to be missing.

Not all countries, not even on the same Eurasian tectonic plate are in the EU, yes I keep repeating this ad nauseum, but you don't have to be in the EU to trade with ithe EU.

I want to know if Britian was out, why would trading with the EU block be any different for the the UK than any other none EU countries in the world.

To me this seems a painfully simple question where nobody seems to have any answer to, just deflective responces, most i have got is tariffs.
