I live in Norfolk, and, in certain areas, there are dead zones where nobody can get freeview, even if they happen to have the right equipment. The other side of the coin is that BS viewers in these areas must be getting tired of even hearing spoken promos for a service they can't get. It cuts both ways, either have a full rollout of Xtreme on all services or none. The quality of output would not suffer if better management of the services was employed.

There is even constant annoying promos of BSXtream on Live99, and that show is not a Cellcast show , although Cellcast is the owner of FV99 they are not the owners of Live99. How would Cellcast like it if channel 5 started advertising there shows on Partyland , after all channel 5 are the owners of FV97 .

"Well, hello B..."

"Tomorrow on Neighbours.."

Lots of homes have more than one tv and with the continuing progress of the digital switchover the second set in a Sky home is almost bound to Freeview-equipped, either built-in or from a digibox. Even your own presenters frequently say "If you're watching on Sky don't forget you can also see us on Freeview in your bedroom." Why do they say that if you believe very few Sky homes also have Freeview?

Besides, it would be easy to ensure that all the ads made it plain that the service is only available on Freeview, thereby avoiding the majority of unnecessary customer service calls.

None of which has anything to do with interrupting the girls when they're trying to talk to us. Stop it - it's bloody bad manners.

Edit: Come to think of it, anyone who can contemplate paying £5 for one night's viewing must surely be able to afford £10 to get a Freeview box from Sainsbury's.

Edit 2: It's just occurred to me that your own argument is destroyed every time Geri or one of the other girls does a spoken BSXtreme promo. Even if it's blasted off the air on Freeview it still goes out on Sky. So you aren't avoiding the advertising of BSXtreme on Sky at all - you're just not persecuting Sky viewers with those constant smack-it-in-your-face ads that go out on Freeview.

are we missing something and Sky viewers want to be bombarded with adverts for a service not available on the format they are viewing, but on freeview?

The main point in vila's post was asking why, when the girls are talking on the mic to the viewers, they are often rudely interupted in the middle of what they are saying by a BS Xtreme advert and we miss what they were saying.
This is very annoying.

because the promos are timed, and if the producers aren't planning the show around these timings then it is a problem with them. i'm going into a meeting soon so will bring it up
