anna meares wins it after it appears that vicky p has left the lane, 1-0 to the aussie cow. vicky p to win the next 2 by a sprinters mile. its the rules once you go below the red line on the final bend you must stay inside it or risk being relegated.
laura trott the new female face of track cycling also she is a sprinter by trade not an endurance rider which is needed for the omnium.

The one massive thing is how refreshing athletes are. They are so down to earth and a pleasure to listen to in interviews. Just listening to Laura Trott then you get a sense of perspective and achievement. They don't come across like spoilt footballers who just want more and more money. These athletes strive and work so hard to be on the top of their game. The big prize is the gold medal, not the cash!

laura trott will be getting alsorts of endorsement offers from companies after today. the best example of the selfless sacifrice is wiggins in the road race trying to get cavendish to gold. wiggins is prepared to ride for the team to get the prize for the individual.
pendelton gets the silver. anna meares cheated to get gold by leaning in on pendelton in the first race i won be surprise in the charging after the medal ceremony that pendelton knocks out meares. pendelton was cheated out of gold by meares and the commisere.

but i sed before the cycling started earlier in this thread that she mite be a gud outside bet for a top 3 place in the sports personality of the year! its always hard thou in olympic year with so many olympic champions gutted for vicky but at least she got a gold in the keirin
