Well I was truly wrong about Italy, I thought they would get nowhere in this tournament, but they have reached the final

Maybe I have been too hasty in my judgement of Balotelli. He can certainly turn on his talent when he wants to, just needs to do more consistently. It was great to see him celebrate for once when he scored his first goal

Wow I'd never thought Italy would be spoken of at this stage of the tournament and never thought they defend so well like that, man Prandelli got his formation, tactics and selecting the right players right for each game.

Really hope now they complete the job, think Spain has won enough now.

This Italy/Germany match goes to show how good englands defence is. If only the could pass to one another, stop passing to the opposition, have a couple of quick ones up front, then they's be very difficult to beat

You know there is a thread right below this one to write stuff like that

Still Germany have never beaten Italy at a major tournament!!

is this tournament a bit of an anti-climax??? I felt Germany have been the best all along now they are out .... and Italy didn't play England off the park like everyone rants about ..... a 0-0 does not state you outplayed someone

Germany have themselves to blame for going out to Italy, particularly the manager considering his team selection. Italy were great at the back, looked a threat going forward and took their goals well. Italy did play England off the park, look at the amount of shots and passes Italy had compared to England

Match fixing scandals in Italy again before a major tournament and again they reach the final

I think if I tlay win on Sunday it would amount for for one of the biggest upsets in football for a long time. I think the Itaiians have just got on with their job quietly, and it culminated in a fascinating match last night. I would like to think the final would in all respects be one hell of a game to savour and hopefully one to be talked about for a long tme to come too. And on a individual level something tells me Pirlo will have big say in who actually wins too. For me, he probably has been the most outstanding player of the Italian team and one of the outstanding individuals of this tournament.
