RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 09-02-2015 19:57 This afternoon the draw for the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals took place which went as follows: Inverness CT v Raith Rovers QOS v Falkirk Hibs v Berwick Rangers or Spartans Dundee Utd v Celtic The tie of the round is obviously Dundee Utd v Celtic and to be honest with you I wouldn't imagine either camp is happy with the fixture coming out of the hat, it was the one I ofcourse wanted to avoid, however on the positive side it's a home tie for us as I wouldn't have fancied our chances if it was in Glasgow. We also have the psychological knowledge to know that we've already beaten Celtic at Tannadice only recently in a league game. RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 09-02-2015 22:01 Wait 'til you face Spartans in the Final, though RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 09-02-2015 22:13 I personally think it's great to still have Spartans still in the cup. Back in 1988 if you remember a small club called Wimbledon defeated all the odds and went on to win the English FA Cup so anything is possible when it comes to the romance of the cup both sides of the border RE: Scottish Football - Joey 27 - 10-02-2015 00:13 Also in 1988 a small club called Luton defeated all the odds by beating Arsenal to win the league cup, i was probably crying in my pram at the time RE: Scottish Football - Smith611 - 10-02-2015 00:59 Although a shock, Wimbledon finished 7th in the First Division the year they won the FA Cup. Luton were 9th. RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 10-02-2015 13:46 Sad news that Forfar Athletic Under 20 player Jack Syme has died in what appears to be a suicide. Thoughts with family and friends RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 13-02-2015 22:18 Well done to Hibs, they played absolutely pish but they still managed to hammer another nail into Rangers promotion chances. Rangers even had a stonewall penalty turned down (Unheard of 3 years ago) in the second half which would have levelled the scores. Also worth noting is the fact that Ibrox again was half empty, funny how despite the fact the supporters have been unhappy with the boardroom the past few seasons they conveniently decide to stay away when the team is not picking up results Final score from Ibrox Rangers 0 Hibs 2 RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 14-02-2015 17:32 Airdrie v Forfar Athletic just starting on BBC Alba now(5.30pm Saturday) RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 14-02-2015 18:25 "We just need to start winning some games of football" said John Potter after Morton defeat We have won 3 in a row since then though could do without them going 2-0 down, missing a penalty to make it 2-2 and scoring a winning goal in 4th minute of injury time but hey Pars back in Top 4 in League One and hopefully on the up and up RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 15-02-2015 18:14 Pleased that East Stirling not only won yesterday, but against bloody Elgin! Hamilton alas lost 3-0 at home to Aberdeen, and look set to contest 4th place with Dundee United |
