Would you say they are on a par with Brazil in 1970? They were just awesome in the second half and thnk they are def the blueprint for International football for the future. I would say winning in Brazil 2014 would be their peak. But I wouldn't be surprised if they were to field a strong team in the Olympics.
Actually I should have said greatest team I have seen in my lifetime, because I wasn't even born to see Brazil in the 1970s. Next season I'm definitely watching all La Liga matches next season, it may be a league, where only two teams contest for the title, but it is the league with the most quality. I'm sure Spain will be at the top of table of International football for years to come, they have some good young players coming through from their under 21s I heard, there is even a player regarded as the new Messi, now thats scary for other teams

Watching the 2 backup keepers for Spain valdes/reina Celerbrating the win tonight I was wondering when the last time they actually played a part in the tournaments, neither played in these euros or the world cup in 2010 not sure about 08 but it was probably unlikely they played much, I know keepers don't get rotated much but it's crazy to think they played no part yet walk away with 2 European cup medals and 1 world cup........oh well

It makes you wonder why our FA And PL (and maybe the Govt too) can't put their damn heads together for the sake of our national team. If we want to win international honours, we have to come up with a blueprint of our own that matches what the rest of Europe does. But it is frightening to think that Spain will probably dominate football at international level like Australia did at cricket and we should be also be up there challenging. Clubs here now need to start looking at ways into getting more youngsters into their first teams so that we can help them play at the highest level in the future. I accept that we may have a good under 21 squad now but how many of them are first team regulars at their clubs?

I wouldn't be surprised if either features as Spain's first choice at the Olympics now!! and I can't see anyone stopping them claiming gold to add to their title last night.

No..
He's still getting over the rejection caused by his failure of getting in the Man Utd team.
He'll be scared for life Bounce

Vialli is a very good pundit but he works for Sky, so don't expect to see him on Match Of The Day.

what ever you think of balotelli, the shit he has to put up with from his home country is unbelievable! imagine if an english tabloid came up with something like this!
