Neither channel want's to pay the extra money,Channel Five say there isn't enough viewers for the monday night games to justify the expenditure.Sky also say the same,it's annoying for the fans because monday night games are usually the best games of the week. Why do you think that is? Yeah i love watching the Americas game shows, not just The Raiders shows,i love watching the history of the game,i find it fascinating listening to the inside view of the players into the games historical moments. I won't give my thoughts on 'The Tuck Rule' game, because every time i see a quarterback fumble the ball i turn green and go into a vitriolic rant the will more than likely shorten my life expectancy. ![]() The Raiders decline of recent years started when Al Davis gambled on winning the superbowl with Gruden,by filling the roster with experienced veterans, which stuffed the cap and left us with a very old team,we've been rebuilding ever since. If you add to that the extremely poor choices of head coaches charged with rebuilding,Callaghan,Turner,Shell,Kiffin and Cable? It's not a surprise that we've struggled. The frustrating thing is we have talented players but piss-poor management,i guess until the day comes Al decides to step away or relinquish his draconian control of the franchise we'll never reach the heights of the seventies and early eighties.

[/quotHe did get a very good deal with gruden though did he not? there was some sort of trade with the buccs when he let leave for them. But I do remember they had a fair share of class veterans, such as Jerry Rice, Tim brown, and Rod wodson. To be fair no neutrals would shed a tear other their misfortunes, in Americas game we found out one of their slogans was cheating is encouraged. Also, what about that corner back who had pardon my spelling sickem to help him catch the ball better. Why not bring back John Madden now that he no longer has broadcasting commitments lol. You have had great Quarterbacks like rich gannon but no one else has come on. Aaron Brookes look good at new orleans he was terrible for you. Do you have Garcia I think he would be a good choice for next 2 seasons gently blood in Jamarcus Russell like packers did with Aaron Rodgers what is your opinion RE: NFL 2009/10 - Hollywood PillowPants - 30-09-2009 18:15 (30-09-2009 17:48 )setter1000 Wrote: He did get a very good deal with gruden though did he not? there was some sort of trade with the buccs when he let leave for them. Yeah we got two first round draft picks for Gruden plus 10 million dollars, one of the picks went on Nnamdi Asomugha who's still with The Raiders and is considered one of the finest cover corners in the league, the other went on Napoleon Harris who ended being sent to the Vikings as part of the Randy Moss trade The guy who used 'stickem' on his gloves was hall of fame receiver Fred Biletnikoff, who ironically was the Raiders receiver coach until 18 months ago before he retired Historically The Raiders have never had any luck with QBs drafted in the first round, the last one was Todd Marinovich, who was last heard of serving time for drug dealing ![]() As for coaches, most coaches won't work with Al Davis.Sean Payton,Ken Whisenhunt,Bobby Petrino,Scott Linehan and Mike Martz have all turned down the job in recent years.
