Along with BLINK, the episode The Girl in the Fireplace is one of my absolute favorite episodes & a couple of Christmasses ago, I kept my whole family waiting for me to turn up at Mum's house for gift unwrapping cos I was watching a repeat of the episode on BBC3 Found this drawing bellow RE: Dr Who - Censorship :-( - 02-05-2010 10:31 (01-05-2010 16:42 )Regenerated Wrote:(28-04-2010 11:38 )steven6 Wrote: That over the rainbow trailer didnt get shown on bbc hd It wasn't shown on BBC1 Scotland, either RE: Dr Who - Rammyrascal - 02-05-2010 16:11 its just been on points of view the over the rainbow and the complaint i sent in about the trailer runing the episode was read out and shown!!!!!!!!!!!!! RE: Dr Who - wade_wilson - 02-05-2010 17:07 just rewatched the ep, and what i thought was a continuity error, i now think wasn't one and deliberate... when the dr goes to leave amy alone with the clerics, he comes back briefly and asks her to remember what he told her when she was 7, he's wearing his jacket again, which he lost when the angel grabbed him, then next you see him he's not got it again. i think that this is not the same dr, i think its from a future ep, the tone of what he says is different to what he had said before. or i'm just over thinking it. i just thought it was a bit of a huge error if it was just continuity fuck up on the jacket.... RE: Dr Who - mrwotzup - 02-05-2010 17:23 Good spot mate. I didn't spot it myself but others noticed the reappearing Jacket (check the Forums/Messageboards etc). There are many many theories I did think the Episode ended stangely with them suddenly being on a 'Beach' . Cant wait for the next episode. RE: Dr Who - Rammyrascal - 02-05-2010 17:53 very good spot. will see what happens over the next few weeks RE: Dr Who - Regenerated - 02-05-2010 20:35 We're seeing very different personality traits from the Eleventh Doctor compared to his predecessors. For instance, in this episode in times of crisis he deals with a situation differently than his previous incarnations. Whereas the Ninth Doctor was panicky and emotional, and the Tenth Doctor was apologetic and comforting, it seems that the Eleventh Doctor is more dismissive and business-like, especially when he says to a panic stricken Amy to "shut up, I'm thinking.." when she's scared because she's dying, and when he matter of factly says Octavian is dead to River without any hesitation. I think this could be an indication of the Eleventh Doctor having less time in a crisis to deal with it so every second counts, this is highlighted by the recurring theme throughout the series of the cracks in the universe catching up on them, as if they're being chased by time itself... It all makes for great tension in the new episodes so far. RE: Dr Who - Ducky - 03-05-2010 08:32 If you think about it, the last Doctor was so pissed off at having to die when the ood informed him of his impending doom. He REALLY liked who he was and so sometimes I think the current incarnation of the Doctor is maybe still peed off about it and so a little less sympathetic to people's worries like in a sort of, "Pffft, you think you've got problems? I keep f**king well dying!" kind of way. |
