It'd certainly be a challenge. Plus he has unfinished business having failed (albeit narrowly) with the Lions. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - lovebabes56 - 23-10-2011 13:04 Could he go to Ireland? I doubt if he'd want the England job and controlling the England team as it is at the moment. I'd rather like to see Lawrence Dallagio take over the reins. I think he could have the motivation that England needs. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - Charlemagne - 16-11-2011 12:28 Well the England job has just become available as Martin Johnson has just resigned. England manager Martin Johnson has resigned He was in the role for three-and-a-half years. The RFU will hold a press conference later this afternoon. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - Money_Shot - 16-11-2011 12:41 You beat me to it Charlemagne. I'd like to see Rob Andrew have a shot as he seems very quick to criticise anyone from his seat as "Director of elite rugby" RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - rickhardo - 16-11-2011 19:32 (16-11-2011 12:41 )Money_Shot Wrote: I'd like to see Rob Andrew have a shot as he seems very quick to criticise anyone from his seat as "Director of elite rugby" I'm going to presume that's a joke. Jim Mallender's the man for the job. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - ILoveTheChatGirls - 16-11-2011 19:51 I was in New Zealand watching the world cup and felt ashamed to be English.... not because of our performance on the pitch (which was pretty terrible) but the way the players carried themselves off the pitch. Our boy's antics were on the news every day each report was of "Tindall's stag do". Johnson's comment after the nightclub incident of "rugby players drink beer" just isn't good enough. After they were out of the tornament they were invited to a Land Rover dealership to test drive the new model, what do our boys do? Go crazy and wreck them.... not exactly the photo opportunity the dealership was hoping for. He should have control of his player when they are in a tornament and for that he had to go. Whoever take over is going to have one hell of a job on their hand to get control of them. As for Rob Andrew... I have no idea what he does or whether he should still be in a job. |
