Sort of. The original LiveXXX [which was one of the first babe channels actually in the 900's and yes, offered us the 'flash the gash' moments before encrypting] ended in early 2006. When Cellcast took over running the three Sex Station channels in 2008 they changed the name of the other two to Blue Kiss [ch951] and LiveXXX [ch957] with Sex Station staying where it was [about ch910 or 911?]. But the change was in name only, the content being similar to what was on Babestation. Around that time Babecast ended and Kandi Kay regularly appeared on the new channels - even think I've got her first Sex Station 2-4-1 with Alex Adams kicking about somewhere. But yes, the general tone was much stronger than compared to now, especially in Sex Station's 'white room'.

Great days.

What went wrong? How did we get here?

I have to ask this, do the devoted fans of today's piss poor adult offerings think that the resurrected clips that have been posted of times "long gone" went too far and should never have been broadcast when they were. And if your answer is no. Then why oh why do you keep insisting that what we have today is good? When quite simply it isn't. Compared to then what we have now is so second rate, it's unbelievable. Another question, I would stake a small fortune on what most of you own. The TV you watch the babechannels on, I would say would be of a higher end brand, not one off a Tesco shelf. The phones you use to phone up the babes. Would they happen to be the latest smartphones? Probably. And then when you go down to the shops for another box of tissues. I bet you don the trendiest trainers money can buy. Then WHY OH FUCKING WHY are you satisfied with the utter mediocrity that is being served up under the guise of adult entertainment? When in all other parts of your life you more likely than not have the best.

I think one of the key points these days, is that viewers are far too concerned with high production values. There's just too many who make the assumption that high production values equals good shows. They don't.

I desperately wish we could return to those seedy, intimate shows where the girls just got on with it and genuinely looked as though they were having fun... I know we the viewers certainly were. If any of the shows today dared to give us one of those dimly-lit sessions that we used to get with the 2am Private Babes like in the Dani clip above, there's be a barrage of complaints that the picture was too dark, but they were fucking brilliant!

The more I see of the old stuff, the more depressed I become with the collection of festering shit we have now.

For me I pretty much stopped watching the shows around 2006 regularly, I just didn't see the point in watching IMO below average looking girls doing shows when I could watch far better looking girls putting on far better shows online.

And as for you question, people can enjoy both. Cause I bet like me, when they want to see something stronger, go on the Internet and find what they want instead of pissing and moaning about something they can't see on tv.

Well you may wish to have the best but if what is available is still good, then it would be irrational to deny yourself whatever there is (i.e. cutting off your nose to spite your face). I think this point has been made many times already, but here we are again Wink

Also I would point out that the above quoted post is inconsistent with what you said slightly earlier, as follows.

Why oh why would you be satisfied with that mediocrity as well?

But it isn't 'still good'. That's our whole point.

Because some people can like what they have today, just because the shows aren't as good as they used to be doesn't mean everyone hates it.

You're comparing the quality of the show to what we buy for personal use? Ehh? That is flawed because you willingly can choose to either have the best or worst trainers, you made that choice to have the best trainers or the worst not anyone else.

With the BabeShows we can't dictate the quality of the shows, those are decided by those with more powers (undeservingly I should add).

Whether you choose to be happy with the quality of what they're serving is entirely your choice, and some have made the choice they like it.

(Quick FYI, I aren't in favour of the current shows, I love the olds ones back)

Well yes I agree, 'our' being the important word, it is subject to taste. Lets not call it a day then for the sake of whoever still likes it Smile

RE: Call it a day - StanTheMan - 19-01-2012 19:45

I suppose that's a fair comment, Roquentin, but the shows will never return to their old ways while the modern viewer is funding them.

It's a totally selfish attitude, but I don't care.
