Hardly the most inspiring advert for the English game that match Sad.

I'd think a 2-0 win would be the best we could hope for though it's possible that we catch them on a bad night, since they mauled San Marino 9-0 last Friday. Though a repeat of the defeat like we did Germany in 2001 would be a wild ream against these guys.

I never said I wanted the play-off lottery either did I? Huh

I want to win games, hence why I said I wanted a strong performance. A 0-0 isn't the end of the world but we're still fucking rubbish in terms of quality to win games. annoyed

Montenegro game still gonna be tough with them having jovetic and vucinic, don't think England can play with both gerrard and lampard in the same team, need gerrard, wilshere with cleverly otherwise it's too slow in midfield.

I know you didn't but it's up to them to win the last two games, but Montenegro might be thinking 'we could beat them now' Surely Roy knew that draw wasn't going to be a positive result?

Babelover48 - you're not getting it. I know a 0-0 draw isn't a positive result. I know Roy Hodgson will be thinking it's not a positive result. For Christ's sake I've just said it was fucking rubbish. I can't really be any clearer that I regard tonight's result and performance as failures.

Do you understand now or do I need to have another go? Tired of this.

So far in this group the only teams England have managed to beat are San Marino and Moldova, Hodgeson needs to start picking players who play for the shirt and not players who take it as an inconvenience...

A great result for England tonight, despite a wholly unconvincing performance. As far as then result goes it's job done, and Roy Hodgson will be happy with it, but England looked desperately pedestrian.

World class opposition I'm sure we will all agree laugh.
England gave the ball away far too much as usual which they can ill afford to do should they reach the World Cup proper.

Cosmonaut - no - not a great result at all. Its a result that's not the end of the world but its hardly great - as Fernandez has rightly pointed out - and as I've said both tonight and previously - we don't have quality to consistently win games, especially against anyone any good.

I won't be agreeing it's a great result until we can go to a decent team with a chance of winning. While we play the way we do - that won't happen.

You only got to look at the past friendly matches against Ireland and Scotland to know that both Poland and Montenegro have got a chance of doing something at wembley
