You have the facts infront of you, my argument is not Man United v Liverpool, it's about Sturridge being a better player than Wellbeck... you have the facts there... stop talking complete rubbish and face facts...

What? My original point was that neither are good enough to make other top international teams, Sturridge being better than Wellbeck doesn't change that, one single bit, so your 'argument' makes no sense.

RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Fernandez Esperenda - 09-05-2014 21:06

My argument is Sturrigde is good enough and Wellbeck isn't........ Who's scored more this season? Sturridge or Neymar? Sturridge or Higuain, Sturridge or Cavani? Sturridge or Van Persie? Sturridge or Rooney? Sturridge or Robben? Sturridge or Ribery?....

The answer is Sturridge....

RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - whorelover - 09-05-2014 22:08

So what if he's scored more? Outscoring someone for ONE season doesn't make you better than them lol. In 2011-12 the following strikers scored more in the league than Suarez; Cisse, Yakubu, Dempsey and Grant Holt. Does that mean they're better? Big Grin Of course it doesn't. That would be a ridiculous and stupid thing to say. Btw, Robben and Ribery aren't strikers.

RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Fernandez Esperenda - 09-05-2014 22:18

Whatever...

The fact STURRIDGE has scored more than those world class players I just named shows he is capable of playing for a top international team.... if he was Brazilian he would get into our squad on his current form and many other top international sides, Wellbeck wouldn't any football fan with basic knowledge and common sense knows this... so stop talking shit, he's one of your very few English players who would get into most top international squads, I'm not wasting anymore of my time replying to you again over this...

RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - whorelover - 09-05-2014 22:43

You won't reply coz you know its not a valid point Tongue I love how you resort to personal attacks all the time, "any football fan with basic knowledge", "stop talking shit", coz anyone with knowledge about football would always agree with you, right? Otherwise they're talking shit! Seriously, grow up man. He's outscored them once, in one season, and again, using your 'logic' Grant Holt would get into Uruguay's squad in front of Suarez coz he outscored him in one season, hahahaha Big Grin

RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Fernandez Esperenda - 09-05-2014 23:45

Doesn't change the fact Sturridge would get into a lot of top international teams based on Current form and Wellbeck wouldn't....

Brasil Squad for the tournament

Goalkeepers: Júlio César (Toronto FC), Jéfferson (Botafogo), Victor (Grêmio).

Defenders: Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Maicon (Roma), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Maxwell (Paris Saint-Germain), David Luiz (Chelsea), Thiago Silva (Paris Saint-Germain), Dante (Bayern Munich), Henrique (Napoli).

Midfielders: Luiz Gustavo (Wolfsburg), Paulinho (Tottenham), Ramires (Chelsea), Fernandinho (Manchester City), Oscar (Chelsea), Willian (Chelsea), Hernanes (Internazionale), Bernard (Shakhtar Donetsk).

Forwards: Fred (Fluminense), Neymar (Barcelona), Hulk (Zenit St Petersburg), Jô (Atlético Mineiro).

Not a bad selection, I am shock though that Lucas Moura is not make the final squad, I do not see why Luis Gustavo should have been picked before the likes of Lucas Leiva, Coutinho, Jean, Jadson, it makes no sense for me.

how many games is Neymar going to get in the group stages or will he be rested and be saved for the knockout phase?
Certainly I would say it looks on paper probably one of the strongest Brazil squads for some time

Certainly I would say it looks on paper probably one of the strongest Brazil squads for some time. I can't see them losing too many games, but certainly Neymar will be a
top target for a lot of physical tackling. I would not be surprised that if Brazil have a good World Cup, it is possible that we could see more players from brazil plying their
trade in the PL in the future.

RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Fernandez Esperenda - 10-05-2014 11:11

He will be used for all the group games i expect, and the squad is quite strong this time, and we have never lost a competitive home game since 1975 so i think we are going to win this Smile
