It's very unfortunate for him that he didn't play more tests for England. I think he was regarded at the time as being 'too defensive'. ![]() RE: English County Cricket Season 2014 - Boomerangutangangbang - 06-05-2014 22:30 CC Div ! RE: English County Cricket Season 2014 - Hawaiian Brian - 08-05-2014 00:56 Nice to see some 4-day county cricket (Durham v Yorkshire) on Sky over the last 4 days. But... What was even nicer to see was a report in The Times saying that this season Sky intend to show all 18 county sides in a 4-day game! I find this hard to believe, cos that means a minimum of 9 4-day games, and how the hell can they fit those in with all Sri Lankan and Indian fixtures, T20 Blast, domestic limited-over games, under-19 games etc.? However, if they can, bring it on!!! RE: English County Cricket Season 2014 - Jack Bishop - 08-05-2014 08:52 ^ I heard that rumour as well. Any more known fixtures yet or is that still under discussion? RE: English County Cricket Season 2014 - Boomerangutangangbang - 08-05-2014 12:27 At the end of the coverage it said that they would be covering 2 more Championship matches at the end of the season. The last one if the last few years is anything to go by will more than likely feature Division 1 sides that have a chance of winning the Title if it hasn't already been decided. Although if my memory serves me,I think they didn't even cover the last scheduled match last year as Durham where already Champions. As I understand this situation because Sky have at least 3 'dedicated' sports channels, there are sufficient channels to cover all this cricket. |
