Just as a hypothetical point
.Am I correct in assuming that in the event of a tied vote in any match that the countback system would be used by way of the most nominations received in the opening round deciding the outcome?

In the event of a tie snookered I would use the total votes for the two girls from all the previous rounds as a tie-breaker. So similar to your suggestion but using all of the previous rounds, which is currently two (quarter-finals and opening round)
