Declared at 423 and now all we have to do is get some quick wickets and get at them tomorrow. Root made his 100 too which will be great for morale but Alistair Cook will now be up for Sports Personality of the Year and maybe nominated for a knighthood?

Jimmy Anderson has equalled Glenn McGrath's tally of 563 test wickets. Only 3 spinners have got more, Kumble, Warne and Muralitharan.

Congratulations Jimmy, he deserves it and Glenn McGrath was very diplomatic after Jimmy had broken it - and I reckon if Jimmy can stay fit I don't see why this time next year, he can't break 700 wickets. He has thev the main spearhead of the pace attack with Stuart Broad.
