Very good episode with some back story for Seven straight away, that opening scene, wasn't expecting something like that to happen. The scenes with Picard and Seven were excellent, the characters and cast overall have been top quality so far.

Agree, would have been great to see the original actor in that opening scene with Seven

Only just got to watch it but that was emotionally impressive. I'll say it again, feels more Dark Matter than Trek but all the better for it. I'm guiltily glad what Seven did at the end, considering who she was avenging for. The ending was rather telecast but Jurati's emotions didn't dampened the impact at all. Michelle Hurd's Raffi, for me, continues to be the series best character, and you can tell Patrick Stewart jumped at the chance to ham it up a little lol.

Did anyone else think young Troi when we first saw Bjayzl on Freecloud. The actress could have a future Trek role there Wink

^^
Yep. I thought Bjayzl was actually either Troi herself or a Troi clone, the resemblance is uncanny. Agree too about Patrick Stewart, he clearly was loving hamming it up & not taking it seriously.

As for the ending with Jurati, was beginning to wonder that she was either a spy or sleeper agent for the romulans who are hunting Soji & Dahj and whilst this was confirmed when Jurati killed Maddox, was still a very good ending to a brilliant ep

S1 ep6 “The Impossible Box”

Picard goes to the Borg Cube/Artefact to find Soji which brings back uncomfortable memories for Picard from being assimilated and when on the cube/artefact is reunited with Hugh. Also Soji finds out the truth about herself & is horrified

After the slowish build up, things are now moving almost too fast. Guess they can't win lol

I would've loved Jean-Luc to spend a bit more time on the cube, but I guess between the PTSD & getting Locutus shoutouts probably for the best. Also a shame Hugh's 'good work' might be at an end.

And the tech in the Queen's chamber showed the Borg were still mighty busy assimilating races after Voyager left the Delta Quadrant. And Soji knew about it...hmmm

Another great episode, and a reunion with Troi and Riker Smile
