Meghan and Harry get about £2m from Prince Charles's duchy so by not getting it from him after this is this a case of passing the duchy? Big Grin anyone around in the 80's will get that.

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day, the 75th Anniversary since Auschwitz was liberated. Being Jewish I know what it is like to be threatened by ignorant people who think it is clever to wear a swastika armband(home made) - this was at school and our synagogue daubed with said signs after being newly-painted OR to be in fear of an attack on the way to the synagogue around New Year and Yom Kippur(Day of Atonement) but nothing could compare to the attempt to exterminate nearly 6m Jews. It is a day of reflection and the hope that it NEVER happens again and that people learn from history not repeat it. NEVER forget, NEVER repeat!

I read on Ceefax that BBC director general Tony Hall has today suspended plans to switch off the Red Button service which was due to start going tomorrow.
HOORAY!!!
He says he'll make ''a fresh decision'' in the spring.
This is because of a petition raised by the National Federation of the Blind of the UK.
This is though on the same day that Ceefax reports the Corporation will lose 450 journalists by 2022. Never fear, Ceefax's advantage is that it's concise, quick and convenient so there'll be someone left to write it.

I hope he sees sense and keeps the red button text, I really like looking stuff up instantly on the television BUT I hope they also try and update it a lot quicker. Handy for the football results too. Smile

I'll celebrate Brexit day...by hopefully never having to see Nigel Farage on our screens EVER again and hope he fucks off to the US and joins his buddy Donald! Ha ha, they even cut his mic off when he was ranting at the EU today-I bet they will celebrate him going and Anne Widdecombe! Big Grin

The Govt has announced that Northern Rail is to be re - nationalised on 1 March - thoughts?

There are indications that possibly South West trains may also be re - nationalised, as it is reported to be running out of cash. Why should the Govt insisting on pushing ahead with HS2 when the local rail networks are left behind to suffer infrastructure & possible financial problems? I think there have been very few success stories with the rail franchises since their inception.
