It was a good watch as well, a bit dafter than normal, but fun, made me actually want to check out Lower Decks.

A fun episode generally and I'm not a fan of animated stuff but the Lower Decks characters came over as a bit too shouty for my liking.
I did think the animated opening titles looked better than the usual CGI ones.

Ep 7 “Those Old Scientists” Season 2
A really funny Ep and it was nice to see a cross over in Trek something I wish they did a lot more of on the next gen days.
When I first heard about the crossover months ago I wasn’t sure how it would with one being animated based and other being live action but it really worked. The fact it was the voice actors playing the live action counter parts really helped. They even made a joke at the start with being real and at the ending being animated lol.
Seeing both Boimler and Mariner we’re great exactly like there animated counter parts right down to the mannerisms.
Captain Pike for me stole the show with his humour and dry wit and seeing Spock laugh and smile was funny band creepy at the same time lol.
Hear Boimler and Mariner dropping TOS, Next Generation, DS9 and Enterprise references and call backs to the show were great. The animated intro was great too, there is going to be second cross over but this time in Season 4 of Lower Decks in September 2023.
Rebecca Romijn who plays Una Chin-Riley in Strange New Worlds is married to actor Jerry O'Connell who voices Commander Jack Ransom in Star Trek: Lower Decks and there’s a in joke Ramsom makes about Una lol.

What the fuck were they smoking when they wrote this episode?
With the exception of the tedious courtroom drama a few weeks back I've generally enjoyed this "season" so far but this one missed the target by a longgggggg way.
