Before I go to bed, just to counteract my negativity about Independence Day in the "Crap Films" thread, the trailer for one of my all time faves Bubba Ho-Tep, one of the funniest films I've seen in years.

Training Day
Harsh Times
Street Kings

If you havnt seen any of them then you should

harsh times is right up there in my top 5......
...of the worse films ever, never met anyone who actually liked that!
add wanted, doomsday and meet the spartans to that. 2008 spawned some shit films lol!

some great films however - a few good men, chopper, collateral, heat, good will hunting, the matrix, rain man, ronin, reservoir dogs, forrest gump, pulp fiction, top gun, trainspotting, three kings, shawshank redemption, the green mile, die hard, the usual suspects, old boy,

That's the more serious stuff, but there have been great comedy films, especially lately, they won't be picking up oscars but are deservedly good films at what they were designed for - animal house, american pie, 40yr old virgin, superbad, anchorman, airplane, dodgeball, made, naked gun, van wilder, wedding crashers etc.......

special mention goes to "Band of Brothers" - not a film I know, a mini-series, so not quite a full on tv series and absolutely immense!
