Don't mention Everton and Spurs on the same level because in England the Top 5 are in a different league to the rest. Yes top 4 is regarded as the holy grail but Spurs only finished 6 points behind mega bucks city, 3 behind Chelski and 1 behind Arsenal while 9 points separated Spurs from 6th place Everton. Southampton need to concentrate on finishing in the top half of the table first and foremost
Southampton could get a top eight finish this season if they can improve on last season. They have a few decent players and a decent manager. I did not say they were on a par with Spurs but could be one of the upper mid table teams outside of the usual top four. Who gets placed where rather depends on how each team play during the season. Spurs have a chance of breaking into the top four for sure. The season promises to be a closer battle this time round

Bale had an exceptional season last year and carried Spurs in a lot of games but this season with the signings they've made along with one or two long term absentees returning to fitness , even without him I feel Spurs can break the top four. That being said Spurs spending hasn't finished and I anticipate more quality players to join them before the window closes. If Bale stays then Tottenham are looking scary

Well he did get his trophy cabinet off to a good start didn't he?
I ain't even gonna rant, already used to seeing this every season, just gonna say wenger has allowed it to get to this state, he could have had it easy and signed players early back in June/July but chose to allow it to drag on. A win or a draw for villa was always on the cards.
