RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - Charlemagne - 06-06-2022 07:14 He'll win the no covidence vote. However the Tories will get themselves in a flap when they take a hammering in the bi elections at the end of the month. They will then be stuck with Boris for another year, and there won't be anything that they can do. RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - HannahsPet - 06-06-2022 07:19 Its on like Donkey Kong !! VONC tonight between 6-8 Bastard will survive it though RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - HannahsPet - 06-06-2022 07:35 Didnt they change the rules to 6 months thought they had to put pressure on Theresa may saying he needs at least to get over the 65% TM got or wont survive longer RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - lovebabes56 - 06-06-2022 07:45 no confidence vote takes place tonight BOJO out lol RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - lovebabes56 - 06-06-2022 07:48 (06-06-2022 07:14 )Charlemagne Wrote: He'll win the no covidence vote. wouldn't the Govt be paralysed and unable to govern if he lost? RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - HannahsPet - 06-06-2022 07:52 nope he would stay on til there was a new tory leader ministers would stay as they are until a cabinet reshuffle RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - Whynot - 06-06-2022 09:06 He will win but it’s about how many vote against and how much his authority is diminished. If he doesn’t win by a lot and they get hammered in the by elections there are things they can do to try to force him out. Leadership wannabes resigning from the cabinet, so called big names isolating him. No way someone with his ego would go into a general election if he thought he’d be embarrassed’ RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - SecretAgent - 06-06-2022 09:09 The rules for Leadership elections are set by the 1922 Committee. If they want to change them so he has to face another election in a few months time they can. More likely as with Theresa May who won her vote but resigned 6 months later they will let him know that the game is up and he must go. RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - HannahsPet - 06-06-2022 09:31 the problem is that he thinks he is a law unto himself and would prob ignore the men in gray coats with the whiskey and the revolver RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - lovebabes56 - 06-06-2022 10:45 Which is why he changed the ministerial code surely that has to be a big no no not forgetting he also prorogued Parliament |
