It's a Satellite TV licence that has been granted . The licence type is described by Ofcom as a TLCS licence (Television Licensable Content Service Licence), this is the type of licence used to broadcast on Satellite TV . It is not a digital freeview licence, a digital freeview licence is called a DTPS licence (Digital Television Program Service licence). It's not a internet TV/smart TV licence either like the one used by Playboy TV Chat on freeview, that type of licence is called a DTAS licence (Digital Television Additional Service Licence . So it looks to be a new Sky/Satellite TV only channel . If it is a new BS channel then maybe BS will broadcast it on one of their other existing freeview channels that they are currently broadcasting Asian connections on for a few hours in the early morning ? (Blue Freeview Ch 176 and BS2 Freview Ch 177) Details of new Ofcom licenses can be found here http://licensing.ofcom.org.uk/tv-broadcast-licences/updates/062014 RE: News on new channels - Freeview & Sky - Rogergilford54 - 02-07-2014 07:05 mr mystery, thanks for the infomation.
