Some highly suspect analysis on Sky News of the latest England figure. Saying that 778 isn't much of an increase from yesterday's 431, but at the same time that 778 is "nowhere near" the high of 803. Reality meltdown.

Are they still only counting hospital deaths, or are care home deaths etc factored in now ?

Some interesting news about Covid 19 apparently mutating into over 30 different strains.

Figure always jumps like this on a Tuesday due to the “weekend lag”

Just slightly off topic Kevin Pietersen has a petition attached to one of his tweets calling on world Governments to end the illegal wildlife trade, and has currently collected over 29,000+ signatures If you look for it on twitter sign it.

If you had to be critical of thr Government's handling now, what would the thing you most criticise of?

I would point to two things where the Government's handling has been deserving of criticism: -

1) PPE - This has to be the issue that I would be most critical of, even if Hancock says they are getting on top now, I think this issue has been very badly handled. I wouldn't be surprised have sent probably twice as much of the stuff to other without ensuring our wonderful NHS staff had more than enough right at the start to fight the virus and had it been available there and then i don't think we would have seen as many deaths of staff as we have seen 80+ deaths is shocking, plus the fact a RAF plane was despatched to collect equipment from Turkey says it all and Hancock revealed the Government held talks with 159 UK based suppliers of PPE & other vital equipment.

2) Response - The Government IMV were way too slow in reacting to the virus. Had they swung things into operation a lot quicker than it did, I think we could have dealt with it far quicker. Except BJ dismissed it as nothing more than a "nasty cold and it's nothing to worry about" and for five weeks they hummed and arsed about until the shit hit, and it was acting like a rabbit in headlights.

3) Exit strategy - They say they will consider our exit strategy once we have met the five tests they have set out, and I think the traffic light system would be the way to go, staggering the reopening of shops so people are used to shops reopening but my big worry be that if the Government didn't stagger re - openings, it may become way too much for some people to handle, but I think on thr other if the lock down was to extend into July, then it is possible some firms would face financial problems. I certainly cannot see mass gatherings being allowed before possibly end of September or October and any sport taking place until late August.

I’ve made it clear before on the forum that I don’t like or trust Johnson but I don’t recall him saying this. As you’ve put it in quotes can you show me the evidence of where he said it please.

I see that there are still patients in China, who caught the virus in February are still testing positive.

And the State of Missouri are sueing the Chinese government in the American Civil Courts. But China will be protected by sovereign immunity.
