RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 28-09-2014 06:45 Boy, did that suck. I wonder if the people who can tell that Jeremy Clarkson is racist were watching this, which was worse? RE: Dr Who - munch1917 - 28-09-2014 15:43 A couple of observations : That 'most formidable fighting machine in the whole universe' or whatever it was supposed to be, looked more like the bastard son of a rusty dalek and Dusty bin from 3-2-1. I've seen scarier things knocked together by those nerds on Robot Wars! And this whole sub-plot of the characters going to 'heaven'. I have a deep sense of foreboding about this, I fear this could be an even worse plot than the dreaded River Song fiasco! Please let me be wrong. EDIT : Oh, and will someone please tell that Danny Pink to cheer the fuck up, you're shagging Clara for goodness sake, why so damn miserable all the time, the show is bad enough without you walking around like a Samaritans advert!! RE: Dr Who - skully - 28-09-2014 16:17 So many of the ideas are cheap knock offs from other things, next week looks like some kind of Predator creature, that whole assimilate thing the other week was ripped off from Star Trek and the Daleks either need to be retired or to be done properly (which they haven't been). This weeks villain was beyond shite. Original ideas and creativity are thin and on the ground and considering Moffat is supposed to have been a fan from childhood, he should do the right thing and either step aside for a team of writers to take over, or stop thinking the shit stuff he's putting out is acceptable and get some help Also, Peter is doing a good job considering, but I would have preferred it if he had stayed on with The Musketeers for another series, he's too good for this show, as is Jenna. Many of the additional actors are just rubbish and half of them should be extras rather than main cast. This show is being slowly killed by somebody who claims to be a fan RE: Dr Who - sandals1963 - 28-09-2014 18:47 I quite enjoyed it..... RE: Dr Who - RatedR - 28-09-2014 23:46 as gripping as a Slippery Liquid-Infused Porous Surface RE: Dr Who - lazydayz - 29-09-2014 00:11 (28-09-2014 15:43 )munch1917 Wrote: And this whole sub-plot of the characters going to 'heaven'. I wouldn't worry too much about it, since a lot involved in making the program are quite strong atheists and have taken every opportunity to dig at religion, in this episode it was 'isn't it assembly, go worship something' said with sarcasm. This girl has an interesting idea, skip to 15:59 for it, it involves the cybermen: RE: Dr Who - circles_o_o_o - 29-09-2014 00:20 (29-09-2014 00:11 )lazydayz Wrote: This girl has an interesting idea Something to do with rabbits? RE: Dr Who - M-L-L - 01-10-2014 19:32 Radio Times : Kill The Moon : Apparently not an episode for arachnophobes.... "...this is Dr Who at its creepiest best and you can't fault the imagination of newbie writer Peter Harness, nor Steven Moffat and Peter Capaldi for pushing the Doctor to the edge of darkness - and beyond" ...or for Stephen Hawking - warns physicists "may have a conniption at [the] fantastical demouement" Hermione Norris (of Spooks and etc) guest stars. RE: Dr Who - biggles - 01-10-2014 20:48 Ok some good comedy moments - insisting the ex soldier is a PE teacher, keeping the school girl out of the janitors room. Not a great baddy in this one, I know they have done schools before in DW but there is still a lot they could do to get a scary adventure. The policeman's severed hand though was excellent and very strong - not a teatime image. Not have him serving ice cream to Henry VIII by the next episode. |
