Ep.2 loses a third of its audience on overnight figures: http://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/jun/06/chris-evans-top-gear-audience-bbc

Move to BBC1 looks in serious doubt atm. Final viewing figure for Ep.1 expected later today.

Next week's instalment should offer the first proper chance to see any tweaks to the studio segments prompted by viewers' reaction to the first episode as these were shot after the latter's transmission.

The only thing that will save it in the long term imo, is to bin off Evans' involvement and revamp it away from the previous incarnation as much as possible. Sure they had a winning formula with the old presenters (even though I did think it was tired), but this really isn't working as it should. Also, the lame jokes/references need to stop, it's just insulting. I've decided to give it a miss from now on, a couple of decent bits aren't worth the bother.
Fifth Gear has been cancelled due to lack of funding, maybe they should try and bring Tiff back into the fold, replacing Evans?

Evans will still claim it's a hit no matter what the figures are!!

Why not offer Evans' role to Sabine Schmidt? I think she is more likely to get people interested and watching!! Whether Tiff would be interested after being away from the show for so long is another matter

I knew Eddie was involved, but I think it wouldn't surprise me if he jumped ship soon.

If anyone wants to contribute to the viewing figures, here is the BBC iPlayer link for episode 2.

As much as I like Sabine, I'm not too sure about her being the main presenter.
Another good option would be James Martin, he can already multi task, seeing as he presented Saturday Kitchen for years, plus he's a petrol head, not remotely annoying...and makes good grub...erm bonus cookery segment. lol.

what about the female from Fifth Gear - or would she be to annoying? and when you think about it, Fifth Gear was competing for viewers with Top Gear for quite a while wasn't it

At least I think Sabine would be a little easier on the eyes than Evans Tongue
