RE: Olympics 2012 - The Truth - 07-08-2012 20:56

Another dodgy decision in the boxing,I feel a bit sorry for the french fighter

Not often you see the words "feel sorry for" and "French" in he same sentence!

Agree it was a bad decision, though.

why is it that the 2 losers of the semi finals not have to fight to decide bronze?Important

RE: Olympics 2012 - The Truth - 07-08-2012 21:11

Great performance from Team GB's Fred Evans, guaranteed at least Bronze medal.
Well Done son!

gotta admit i wud rather the french fighter won cos the other 1 is the world champ and number 1 seedSad but freddie will win his semi then hav to beat him in the finalSmile

My advice to Fred Evans is to stop trying to fight as a pro,he did that in the final round and it almost cost him.

It's because there's an absolute rule in amateur boxing that if you lose a fight you are not allowed to box again on medical grounds for a minimum period of time (I think it's 14 days).

This is nothing new and nothing to do with modern health & safety nonsense, it's been that way for at least 50 years.
