For England, I really do bloody hope Hodgson grows a backbone and finally discards the old and makeway for the younger players, getting them gel together between now and the World Cup.
For now, the ideal squad options should be (with oldies mentioned last as 'spares):

Right back: Micah Richards, Glen Johnson, Kyle Walker, Martin Kelly

Left back: Danny Rose, Leighton Baines, Kieren Gibbs, Ashley Cole
Right wing: Ashley Young, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Jordan Henderson, Aaron Lennon
Central midfield: Tom Cleverley, Phil Jones , Jack Rodwell, Dan Gosling, Scott Parker, Gareth Barry
