RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Tractor boy - 18-06-2014 21:57 Defending champions often seem to have bad world cups (France & Italy spring to mind) perhaps after winning it once the players lose the hunger. I Was so surprised with Spain. I really expected them to have a real go at Chile, only to find they were so poor again. I think they are now at the position that we're so often in, how do you replace experienced internationals? I wonder, is it possible that we won't see the likes of Casillas or Torres etc, on the world stage again? Certainly Casillas won't be for sure is my own opinion, and a few others I wouldn't say their era of dominance is over I would say that they will lick their wounds and come back stronger in Europe, but on the world stage I doubt if they will be the no.1 team by the end of the year. Certainly they do need a coach to take them forward with a new way of thinking. David Moyes perhaps?
