Steve Clarke has been sacked by West Bromwich Albion. How ridiculous is that?

That was always likely to happen as soon as we had a bad run of form.

OK you're in bad form but you finished 8th last season. 8th! And this season beat Utd away, & were effectively the first ever team to beat Mourinho at the Bridge (not literally obviously), and all that after you lost your 20 goals a season striker.
Whoever snaps Clarke up will be onto a winner

the failure to resign lukaku at the last min of deadline hurt his chances of keeping his job bit premature to pull the trigger but thats chairman for you. they are shitting themselves scared of dropping out of the premiership this season cos of financial losses that would mean with a new deal in the works
feel sorry for the fans it rarely works out changing at this time of year Southampton being the exception last year

Sometimes statistics get in the way of facts, when Clarke took over last season it was with the team Roy Hodgson built and we had a great start but after Xmas are form dropped dramatically and we really struggled to pick up points. If it had not been for that good start to the season we would have been in a relegation battle. Although i think Clarke should have been given more time it was obvious that things were not improving, losing to Newcastle and Man City is one thing but to lose at home to Norwich and then to Cardiff is totally unacceptable and the board have acted quickly to try and stop the rot before we find ourselves in a real dogfight at the bottom of the table.

Clarke must have known that his position was untenable ever since he made those comments before the window closed in the summer.

Some 'accident' with the ref getting smacked in the face at the Newcastle match.
Looked a bit odd, that.

Lol all the jokers are on fine form atm. I'll hang on though to digest the joke, even though it means I'll be the last one to have a good laugh
