RE: Top Gear - The Silent Majority - 11-06-2016 07:04 I thought the second show was much better. The challenges work better as a 3-way (if nothing else it dilutes the Evans factor) but please let it be Sabine next time, and not Eddie 'comatose' Jordan ![]() ![]() On the subject of viewing figures I heard an ex channel 4 executive talking about Evans take on them, on the radio. He reckoned that counting the viewing figures from the i-player, repeats etc might be ok for the BBC, but it wouldn't hold water if he was working for a commercial station. Commercial stations still get 90% of their revenue from adverts on first broadcasts, so overnight viewing figures are the only ones that matter. RE: Top Gear - lovebabes56 - 11-06-2016 07:56 Bet viewing will struggle now Euro 2016 has started, mind you, they should be ok as England play today RE: Top Gear - circles_o_o_o - 11-06-2016 12:11 (10-06-2016 22:07 )ShandyHand Wrote: we are not talking rocket science ummm ![]() (10-06-2016 22:07 )ShandyHand Wrote: or heart surgery here are we? errrr ![]() no, no, it's not any of those things ![]() RE: Top Gear - lovebabes56 - 11-06-2016 19:11 Are they actually showing the controversial episode? RE: Top Gear - ShandyHand - 12-06-2016 08:29 Production team supposedly want 'fan fav' Jensen Button for series 2: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/top-gear-want-jenson-button-8167507 (also includes bits on other proposed changes). The Whitehall footage is in tonight's ep - minus the controversial Cenotaph shots. The beeb paid The Met nearly £6500 to police that shoot (FOI figures recently disclosed): http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/top-gear-bosses-blew-6500-8169626 RE: Top Gear - biggles - 12-06-2016 10:43 With Euro2016 on tonight - viewing figures of less than 2 million? RE: Top Gear - ShandyHand - 12-06-2016 12:20 ^ Euro matches that clash with TG: 12/6 Germany v Ukraine (Group C) on BBC One / BBC One HD 19/6 Romania v Albania (Group A) on BBC Four / BBC Four HD & Switzerland v France (Group A) on BBC One / BBC One HD 26/6 Winners of Group F v Runners Up of Group E on TBC 3/7 Quarter Final 4 (Winners of last two Round of 16 games) on TBC If TG could have made its original launch date the series would be nearing it's end now and average viewing figures would, no doubt, have been higher. RE: Top Gear - HannahsPet - 13-06-2016 05:02 just watched it have to say better than last 2 weak link is still chris and the the live stuff. would have prefered Sabine doing the road test of the new audi A8 instead of another cameo seems shes only needed when chris has to drive really fast actually celeb bit was ok had Kevin Hart and Antony Joshua good guests chris evans still shouting throughout RE: Top Gear - wackawoo - 13-06-2016 10:28 (13-06-2016 05:02 )HannahsPet Wrote: just watched it have to say better than last 2 He has to adjust, I did like Sabine dong the 'some say' in German. RE: Top Gear - ShandyHand - 13-06-2016 11:24 Overnights for ep.3 were just under 2.4mil (thought to be lower than those for any Clarkson episode): https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2016/jun/13/top-gear-viewing-figures-fall-to-new-low Whinging about Harris' gun comment: http://metro.co.uk/2016/06/12/top-gear-fans-call-out-bbc-show-for-badly-timed-gun-joke-after-orlando-nightclub-shooting-5940242/ |
