RE: Top Gear - ShandyHand - 14-06-2016 16:08 Evans to be less prominent for rest of series? With more Harris and Reid instead: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/06/13/chris-evans-to-take-less-prominent-top-gear-role-after-audience/ (also contains snippets about how the show is fairing in certain demographics) Is this what was always planned for the later episodes? Or are they re-jigging things from 'Extra Gear' into the main show? The Telegraph also think they know why and how the beeb got it wrong: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2016/06/13/the-top-gear-fiasco-is-all-down-to-bbc-greed/ RE: Top Gear - wackawoo - 15-06-2016 01:51 Why does nobody consider Mike Brewer and Ed China for this? It might rescue them form wheeler Deelers, which might as well be called Wheeler Deelers US for Americans - the comedy hour. RE: Top Gear - The Silent Majority - 16-06-2016 05:36 I think the shows improving all the time, there may be hope for the patient yet The Ken Block film was great in the end, pity it got all the bad publicity during filming. They should use Sabine more in the studio. I think her and Le-blanc could make a good double-act, at Evans expense. I agree the gun comment should have been edited out, under the circumstances. But it was such a tiny, throw-away comment I think they probably just forgot it was there. RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 20-06-2016 20:13 Well, gee, if I'm the only viewer they've got left, I guess they are in trouble. Shame, really, the show's fine RE: Top Gear - HannahsPet - 20-06-2016 20:21 yeah watched the repeat earlier and yeah it was another good show. even evans not so annoying now better when all of them are in the studio as well RE: Top Gear - munch1917 - 20-06-2016 20:26 2.3 million viewers apparently, the lowest sunday night figure since Clarkson rebooted the show nearly 20 years ago! RE: Top Gear - lovebabes56 - 20-06-2016 20:38 Def shades of 1973 this!! RE: Top Gear - jimmyt73 - 20-06-2016 21:12 Best show of the series so far, particularly enjoyed the trip to Venice,of the two cars featured i thought Evans made the best choice, the XJ8 or to give it its proper title (X308) is a great long distance cruiser and is also my favourite car i have previously owned,in summary good show which finally saw all the presenters together. RE: Top Gear - The Silent Majority - 20-06-2016 23:11 Yeah, I thought it was another good show. In fact I think it would have been a good opening show for the series. The first show was always going to attract a big audience, in the same way people rubberneck at car crashes. An episode like that might have kept more of them. |
