5/20 Fujiko Rose apparently won a Landscape series I haven't got to seeing yet. Her show focused on use of inks rather than paints, working on a B&W photo of some hillside with a big branch framing it.
6/20 Gareth Reid was a former Portrait winner, and he used charcoals to render a B&W pic of some old bloke's face. Very competently, too.

7/20 Former Portrait winner Wendy Barrett looks at Painting with a Limited Palette; just 3 colours (one of which is white).
8/20 Portrait semi-finalist Phoebe Hicks looks at Animal Portraiture, with the lovely Jago.

5.1 Back already, with Smeaton's Tower at Plymouth being a focal point. Much talk about Plymouth Sound, which begs the technical question of what makes a Bay a bay and a sound a sound. Anyway, a linocut lady won for a change.
There's an "in memory" caption at the end, but no clue who it refers to (maybe one of the wild cards? Poor bloke was only 22).

5.2 The quirkily pretty Herstmonceux Observatory made a good choice for some very good paintings, though the weather was stormy and wet. The wild cards had it worse.
