Superb performances from Jeff Daniels and Laura Kinney as an estranged couple going through divorce proceedings. Extras : Making of Interviews Auditions RE: Blu Ray Recommendations - *Kal-El* - 21-01-2017 02:20 I highly recommend Grimm Season 2 on Blu Ray Boxset. The picture and sound transfer is awesome, you get 22 Eps across 5 discs. Extras you get: Deleted Scenes Gag Reel Grimm: Myths, Monsters & Legends Grimm: Creatures and Chaos. Bad Hair Day Webisodes Monroe's Best Moments. Sadly there's no digital copy of the eps. I was lucky enough to find this Blu Ray Boxset for £5. RE: Blu Ray Recommendations - rpj316 - 21-01-2017 18:33 The Guyver(1991) Got it in Granger Games for £10. Co-directed by Predator creature fx guys Screaming Mad George and Steve Wang, this small time version of the classic character looks good on blu ray, really making the creatures stand out in all their glorious detail and a decent performance from Mark Hamill helps this harmless but cheesy effort along. Extras : Interviews Photo gallery Collectable booklet RE: Blu Ray Recommendations - rpj316 - 21-01-2017 18:40 Highly recommend Donnie Darko(2001) I bought it from a local market for £12. The new 4k transfer for the theatrical and director's cut is utterly astonishing and with a new 85 minute documentary,Richard Kelly's deeply bleak but captivating film finally gets the ultimate cinema enthusiast's treatment it always deserved. Extras : Audio commentaries Making of Featurettes Deleted scenes Shorts Gary Jules Mad World music video Collectable Booklet RE: Blu Ray Recommendations - *Kal-El* - 30-01-2017 23:01 Highly recommend Underworld Evolution not only a fantastic crystal clear transfer with everything looking very detailed but the sound quality superb you gotta have this playing through a home cinema system plus there's a goof of extras too. RE: Blu Ray Recommendations - Rammyrascal - 03-02-2017 19:01 Marvel's Agents Of Shield: The Complete 3rd Season (Digibook edition) Get all 22 episodes on 5 Blu-ray Discs presented in a very nice digibook Only dissapointment is a lack of extras as you only get a blooper reel & deleted scenes. Now have 1st 3 seasons on bluray RE: Blu Ray Recommendations - *Kal-El* - 04-02-2017 19:19 Highly recommend the Blu Ray Paddington, growing up as a child I was big fan of Paddington starting with the books then animated series. The Blu Ray transfer looks fantastic especially with the animated Paddington and with the film being so colour it's really looks lovely on Blu Ray along with sound transfer too. There's a couple of extras and no digital copy of the film which is a little disappointing other then that well worth picking up. RE: Blu Ray Recommendations - rpj316 - 05-02-2017 13:41 I highly recommend Hunt For The Wilder people(2016) I bought it from Granger Games for £10 Sam Niell in superb form as mentor to a 13 year old boy lost in the foster care system.Julian Dennison as Ricky is also excellent in this low key New Zealand hit from Taia Waititi.Awe inspiring cinematic framing of the beautiful New Zealand landscape is the perfect backdrop for the sparring between Neill and Dennison.Funny, deep and remarkably moving.Looks amazing in blu ray HD. Extras : Commentary Making Of Featurette Blooper reel RE: Blu Ray Recommendations - rpj316 - 11-02-2017 12:13 Highly recommend Fright Night(1985) I bought it from Sainsbury's for £10. A cult classic from Tom Holland with a great cast and amazing live action effects.Another perfect mix of clever comedy and scares.Chris Sarandon steals the entire show but Roddy McDowell and William Ragsdale also put in charismatic turns.Far superior to the bland 2011 remake.(There's also a steelbook version to be released on the 27th March). Extras : Commentary Documentary Interviews Press kit Collectable booklet RE: Blu Ray Recommendations - rpj316 - 12-02-2017 19:46 Another essential recommendation in my opinion : Bring Me the Head Of Alfredo Garcia(1974) Bought it from a sunday market for £8 One of Sam Peckinpah's all time great films, gripping with fantastically shot gun fights and spellbinding performances from Warren Oates,Gig Young,Robert Webber and Isela Vega.Cinematic perfection in blu ray HD. Extras : 2 commentaries Documentary Lecture Peckinpah Q & A Songs Collectable booklet |
