RE: Top Gear - mysterion - 20-06-2016 23:21 Top Gear is #1 on the BBC iPlayer again. Here's this week's link (episode 4): http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07hn433/top-gear-series-23-episode-4 RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 21-06-2016 06:51 One notable difference with road trips now is that these cars (or bikes) were all clearly of good enough quality not to make breakdowns and repairs part of the story. I suspect if Evans is pursuing any line different to the old gang, it's that he seems less of a tinkerer (so to speak). RE: Top Gear - Tractor boy - 21-06-2016 07:05 The original trio used to enjoy fiddling about with and modding the cars. I suspect Evans knows little about the workings of the internal combustion engine. BBC boss defends the shows performance again: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/bbc-boss-finally-gives-verdict-8239406 This non-story (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3651918/Fans-mock-Chris-Evans-wearing-clothes-episode-Gear.html) about Evans' clothes on the show would merely seem to confirm that the beeb are indeed mixing and matching footage between episodes. (Evans clothes needing to match in his introductions to feature material in particular - depending on which episode the features are slotted into.) This apparent built in tolerance for the rejigging of content was I suppose inevitable given they originally set out to make 8 episodes' worth of location material. The shows as transmitted are certainly jampacked. RE: Top Gear - biggles - 21-06-2016 15:10 It is getting better now it's found it's feet - even Evans is calming down a little and lots of interesting bits - the Aston Vulcan looked great and the bit on the Tesla was really interesting and shows where the future of cars will go. I liked the mix up with the bike too, it shouldn't just be about cars. RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 21-06-2016 20:32 Big up to Sabine out-speeding Evans' boat on foot though. Give that woman a cape and have done with it RE: Top Gear - HannahsPet - 21-06-2016 20:36 (21-06-2016 20:32 )Doddle Wrote: Big up to Sabine out-speeding Evans' boat on foot though.
