RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - HannahsPet - 15-06-2022 06:33 watch there will be calls to come out of the ECHR now thats how they work with all this Lefty Lawyer Bullshit they been spouting the last week RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - lovebabes56 - 15-06-2022 07:13 Patrl determned to push on with flights despite judicial review not making decision until next month Either way whatever happens the govt is breaking international law by carrying on which seems to be the besr approach to things for the government RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - southsidestu - 15-06-2022 10:26 RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - lovebabes56 - 15-06-2022 11:08 Assume that is number of judges who opposed her RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - SecretAgent - 15-06-2022 12:03 I see the racists knuckle draggers are out in force today ranting about the EU & the ECHR (there is no connection between the two). Churchill was a driving force behind the EHCR & Johnsons own grandfather was a key member of it for many years. Only 2 countries have ever left it - Greece temporarily (after a military coup) & Russia so threats by this government to leave would put us in interesting company. Membership is also written into the Good Friday Agreement I believe so that would fuck that up! Attacks on the legal profession for following the law are despicable and it is typical that having been found to be breaking the law this government threatens to throw out decades of sound legal structure which is there to protect our rights. If this stink smells like Nazi Germany that’s because by chipping away at our rights any of us could be next. Are you a true born Anglo Saxon? No? Ah well don’t get too settled here. Bastards! I didn't know the ECHR was written into the Good Friday Agreeement, good grief if he quits that, that will probably unleash civil unrest in Belfast and I wonder if Stormont will ever trust Westminster again. RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - lovebabes56 - 16-06-2022 10:30 That's two ethic advisers gone within a year I believe. RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - Snooks - 16-06-2022 19:20 Apparently Boris is now considering whether or not to refill the Ethics adviser position . Logic dictates that he say 'Why bother?" on the basis that he wouldn't know what strong ethics were if they ran over him like a bus and also on the basis that there is a clear danger a third adviser might end up resigning over his behaviour in any event . Who needs ethics? Who needs rules? Who needs law? Everybody except Boris no doubt on the basis he will flout all three anyway |
