Alternative To Youtube? - Colbert Rules - 22-08-2009 06:12

Hi Guys,

The bastards at BSKYB made Youtube take down 2 of my channels yesterday which made me lose around 400 videos. Do any of you know alternative sites which are better than Youtube to recommend?

Sidenote: I already have a Dailymotion account but that takes bloody ages to upload videos.

what was the reason given for them being deleted? youtube is pretty much against all user made videos these days unless you become a 'partner'.

I'm rapidly going off youtube because of fucking copyright, you can hardly find music videos now because of it

say what you want about youtube. sure its stopping us everyday interweb folkes from making vids but there is hundreds of films on there. i have a sky movies package and i had an amazon rental service before they were sold to the shitarse that is lovefilm. to be quite honest i love watching old films that you know nothing about. because of youtube posters i have watched alot of hammer horror films plus the original series. i also have a bunch of channels with foreign film in great quality. some of these you won't see on tv.

as long as i can watch 80s horror films and classic british and foreign films i am happy. i also enjoy the truther vids.

unfortunately these are all being deleted to make way for more advertising. youtube will be overtook at some stage. its sole deal seems to be to piss its posters off these days. that wont last too long

Youtube has changed a lot since it was bought by Google, as Google have their own ideas about how to run a video sharing site.

downloading the vids will be the way forward. download then once then you own it. sortof. some will disagree but i disagree with them too.

intead of checking youtube just google the vid you are looking. cut youtube out as much as you can.
