Which song and album have blown you away this year?
Neither have to have been released this year, they just have to be something you heard for the first time. The song can be a cover, and doesn't have to have been released as a single. But no compliation albums for your album of the year.
For me, the song of the year is one called Hatefuck by The Bravery.
It features on their new album which has just been released, and although it hasn't been released as a single, its had an offical video made for it.
My favourite album of the year, by some margin, is one that was released three years ago called Violence & Birdsong by Union of Knives.
Here's a rather slick film featuring three of the tracks from the album; Lick Black Gold, Evil Has Never & Operated On.
It features on their new album which has just been released, and although it hasn't been released as a single, its had an offical video made for it.
