i went on a girls page to rep her. i wrote - its such and such. not allowed. so instead i wrote its such and such and she is such and such and that was fine???
(such and such can be changed to the girls name just incase any americans are confused)

I'm just a little confused too - perhaps I've listened to 956 a little too much
Were there specific words you wrote which prevented you ging rep to someone? I can't imagine the rep field is that sophisticated to prevent certain words...
If you forget to click 'positive', 'neutral' or 'negative' it will give you an error:

I *think* he was repping the girl based on who she was and that was the reason, which apparently isn't a good enough reason to base a +reputation on.

The rep system doesn't possess the ability to assess the validity of the reason - a string of gobbledegook could be entered and it would allow it....I think
