The Forum Is Moving - admin. - 22-02-2010 20:15
The forum is about to move to a new home. This means that the IP address is going to change, meaning that there will inevitably be a few hours at least when people are unable to access the forum via the usual domain name (how long this is will depend on your ISP and how quickly they cache the new IP information). However, during the time when the forum can't be accessed via the usual domain, you should still be able to enter the forum by following the link from http://www.babechannels.co.uk, so providing you enter that way you should be able to use the forum as normal whilst the nameservers are being updated with the new IP. Hopefully there won't be much downtime associated with the move itself, so apart from a short time when the forum is unavailable it should be possible for everyone to carry on as normal providing you enter the forum from the babechannels link.

It looks like the move has been completed and went quite smoothly. Sites I've used in the past were down for 24 hours when moving home, so I'm not sure how it was managed if the site was only down for half an hour, as has been said. Anyway the forum seems to be working well in its new home!

Just for clarification......we haven't cut a hole in time and thus messed up the time/space continium in order for the move to have been carried out so quickly???

The difference in speed between now and last week, is like the difference I saw when I changed from dialup to broadband 3 years ago.

Totally agree with The Watcher,a Big thank you to Admin,the Mods and everyone else involved in making the move so smooth and virtually 'painless'.

The new speed is amazing - it's working very well and smoothy seems flawless, big thanks to Admin for fixing this!
I haven't experienced any slowness since the upgrade, finally it makes the forum easy to browse again..
