Chelsea have released Joe Cole and Michael Ballack. Both players will have plenty of offers from elsewhere.

They can afford to release an England regular and Germanys captain.Huh

Ballack's agent said that his client was "completely surprised" by the news, but I think Joe Cole has expected to leave Chelsea for a while now. Harry Redknapp has already expressed an interest in signing him for Spurs.

Michael Ballack being released is one thing, as although he's still captain of Germany he's 33 and even if he'd stayed for another year would probably have left for free next year, but Joe Cole is 28 and should be at the peak of his career and is now going to be signed by one of Chelsea's rivals without Chelsea receiving a transfer fee. bladewave

I did hear Harry say (on Radio 5..yesterday,day before ? ) that he had heard that Joe Cole was moving but said he was not coming to Tottenham.

I think Joe Cole will be going to either man utd or Spurs. They are the only clubs who are willing to match his wage demands

Ballack could end up anywhere but as for joe cole its between man united, arsenal, tottenham and man city. As a united fan I hope he comes to us.
