Next England manager - aaron - 28-06-2010 10:01 I thought this needed a new thread. My vote goes to Roy Hodgson. Does anyone think Capello should stay? RE: Next England manager - reece35 - 28-06-2010 10:13 Nah he should go, but that won't solve all the problems, we've changed the manager before with no success. They need to go back to the drawing board. My vote goes to Harry Rednapp RE: Next England manager - 7 stars of the orient - 28-06-2010 10:34 Latest odds from Paddy Power: R Hodgson 9/4 H Redknapp 3/1 M O'Neill 15/2 S Pearce 14/1 L Van Gaal 16/1 G Hiddink 20/1 S Allardyce 20/1 A Wenger 20/1 J Mourinho 20/1 D Beckham 28/1 S Bruce 28/1 D Moyes 28/1 M Hughes 40/1 J Klinsmann 66/1 S McClaren 66/1 SG Eriksson 80/1 A Shearer 100/1 RE: Next England manager - schmoo - 28-06-2010 11:46 Capello should definitely go. However, England's problems are far deeper rooted than changing a manager. All changing a manager will do is paper over the cracks - the real problem(s) will always reappear. But in the vane of this thread.. my vote would be for Harry Redknapp too. RE: Next England manager - Regenerated - 28-06-2010 11:57 Capello should leave, and I vote for Stuart Pearce. But has it has already been said, simply changing the manager is not enough, the problems go far deeper. There are problems that need addressing to do with the setup of the English league and the English game. That is all for another debate, and there will be time and opportunity for those things to be addressed.. firstly though, get Capello out. RE: Next England manager - alexxxi - 28-06-2010 12:22 conference on skysports channel @ 13:30 today ... not sure what its about though.... maybe resignation? explaination of what happen why they played so shit. RE: Next England manager - 654321 - 28-06-2010 12:27 Hodgson's looking for pastures new, so he'd be the ideal man. He's a man who can get players to play for him. He wants the job. Give it to him. Stuart Pearce i'd stay away from as he showed at his time with Citeh, his tactics leave a lot to be desired. Fact is Capello was set a mandate to reach the semi-finals. He agreed to this. He also made demands to the FA such as having a winter break and having a five-week period before the tournament with the team. He got the latter and he failed in his objectives pretty miserably. There's no way in hell he's going to quit. Why would he? he's going to be entitled to a huge pay-off. It just beggars belief why the FA removed that clause in his contract just before the World Cup. The English FA deserve everything they get to be honest. They're a disgraceful organisation. Hodgson's joining Liverpool this week according to the papers RE: Next England manager - Badboy1980 - 28-06-2010 13:53 I think he should stay. As someone posted previously we have changed managers before with no success. People need to remember he was the dogs bollocks when he got us through the qualifiers. Suddenly when things go bad everyone wants him out. If the FA sack him and bring someone else in what's to say we won't all be on this forum slagging off the next manager at the next major tournament we fail at? What needs to change is the english people mentality. We haven't won anything for 50 odd years, we are not as good as what we all want to believe sadly.
