Have a look in your wallet: any £20 notes with the image of Elgar on them will not be legal tender after today. From 1 July only £20 notes with the image of Adam Smith the economist will be legal tender.
About 10% per cent of all £20 notes in circulation are the Elgar note, so it's worth checking if you have any.

you can still exchange them at a bank or post office...
