Can you reccommend some games to a noob? - KazB - 08-09-2010 04:38

Hi Guys

I'm wondering if you could reccommend some games. I've recently found some games for the pc which were originally for the sega megadrive and zx spectrum, so I'm well chuffed!

I'm now looking for adventure games, quests, rpg's and platforms, so if you can reccommend any that would be fab!

Big kisses

If you can find it get Manhunt by Rockstar which was available for PS2/XBOX and PC it's a few years old but is one of the best games I ever played, also Fallout 3 which is massive,go for the game of the year edition as it has all the extra content and is cheaper than the original release Smile

For a FPS/RPG I would recommend Mass Effect and Mass Effect2

Fallout 3 is also a good shout Smile

You should get a ps2 of ebay, loads of good games o that. All ps2 and ps1 games to pick from.

I agree, I've spent countless hours on these 3 games mentioned alone.

it would be helpful if you posted your pc specs, i wouldn't wanna recommend crysis for a pc that can barly handle minesweeper.

games that are very much worth a look:
halflife 2 and episode 1 and 2
deuse ex (the first 1)
assasins creed 2
mass effect 1 and 2
fallout 3
oblivion
red faction: gorilla
call of duty 4 1,2 and united offencive are all good for lesser spec machines.
gta 4 episodes from liberty city, the ballad of gay tony especialy.
crysis and crysis warhead.
farcry 2
devil may cry 4
resident evil series whichever 1s you can get but 3 and 4 are the best of them.
silent hill are worth a look but can be hit and miss.

most of the above will need a minimum spec of a core 2 duo 2.4 and 9600gt gfx card 1gig of ram for xp 1.5 for vista and 2 for win7 ultimate.
halflife2 and deus ex, need less as they are older games.

On the Half-life theme that HEX!T mentioned, if your machine is capable of it (which it should be, if it's fairly recent) then Portal is well worth a look. It's a weird, surreal and utterly brilliant combination of platformer, puzzler and Stockholm Syndrome, wrapped up in a Half-Life engine.
