Steelers for the Super Bowl - jungleboy - 12-01-2009 00:45 Just watching my team the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the San Diego Chargers. Just wondering if anyone else on here likes the nfl too? And who they think could win it Im not being biased coz im a steelers fan, but with the best defense in the league, and having beaten the ravens twice this year, cant see us losing next week, then probably playing the Eagles in the Bowl! And going on to win RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - BristolRovers - 12-01-2009 00:56 I follow the New York Giants myself, had the pleasure of watching them play against the Dolphins at Wembley a couple of years back. The Giants haven't really been on top form this season and now we get beat by are rivals the Eagles. RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - jungleboy - 12-01-2009 01:07 I followed them in the S.B last year because i dont like the pats much. I have a soft spot for the Eagles, I enjoy watching them play, and like last year i followed them against the pats in 05. So I would love to see an Eagles Steelers match. I want to go to wembley to watch it, but i dont think its worth travelling from s. wales unless someone i like is playing. RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - richpk - 12-01-2009 01:16 The Steelers are looking good. Gotta keep big Ben safe and injury free or else they will struggle. I've followed the 49ers since the early 80's. Man, we suck ass now but at least I have the memories of watching Joe Monatana at Candlestick Park. Those were the days lol RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - Gambino21 - 12-01-2009 01:17 jungleboy Wrote:Just watching my team the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the San Diego Chargers. Just wondering if anyone else on here likes the nfl too? i'm a cowboys fan but our season is over! romo is is to busy shagging jessica simpson now!! You were lucky to beat the ravens a few weeks ago with that dodgy looking TD at the end. Cardinals are looking hot right now and i would like them to go all the way because warner, boldin and fitzgerald have scored me mad fantasy points this season. Ray lewis is coming for ya jungleboy!!! p.s thats the best i've seen big ben play for a while. RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - jungleboy - 12-01-2009 01:32 Yeah i agree gambino. He was great, Willie Parker was fantastic tonight. The cardinals have shocked a few people this year, and it's always nice to see the underdogs do well. Ray Lewis has had another fantastic season this year, lets hope big ben doesnt get caught off guard! I just hope we can get our rushing sorted out. Its been ok, but not terrific. Im a bit of a noob with the nfl lol, i started watching it proper at the end of last season. RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - A Spider Monkey - 12-01-2009 18:35 Holy shit. Did'nt realise there were so many NFL fans on here!!! I'm a huge Dolphins fan, got to see them at Wembley which was great. Had tickets for last years game but had to cancel trip at the last minute. Hopefully will get tickets this year round to watch the Patriots get hammered. I agree with the OP, the Steelers should win the Superbowl from here. They've got an excellent defense and their offense looks to be finding form at just the right time. I think Rothlisberger's experience should just give them the edge over the Ravens. In the NFC the Eagles should destroy the Cardinals to get to the SB, where I think the Steelers will just have a bit too much for them. RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - T-850 - 12-01-2009 23:39 I've been a fan of the Washington Redskins since first watching American Football back in 1985 when channel 4 first showed it, its a great sport and even better if you record it and then fast forward through all the bleeding breaks. I'm gonna be rooting for the Steelers to win it as they've pretty much been the best team this year plus Ben Roethlisberger is a class quarterback, remember that tackle in 2005 against the Colts, pure class. But then again who can tell, i never EEEEEEEEEEEver thought that the Eagles or Arizona would be in the NFC Championship Game. RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - Signboy - 13-01-2009 04:46 Been away all weekend, just watched Tennessee Titans/Houston Oilers completely fuck up against the shitty ravens WTF!!! Way to throw away a game. RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - Carl13 - 15-01-2009 08:42 I'm a Falcons fan. The Steelers looked good against a team that had a lot of momentum going into the play-offs. Willie Parker appears to be back to his best (although the Ravens D will be a test of his progress) and Big Ben may not have the stats of a Brees or Romo but they have already " gone fishin' " as Charles Barkley would say. Would have liked to have seen the Titans go through as Jeff Fisher is an excellant coach. |
